Review by hotel critic
Pros**Nestled in the heart of Speyer, the boutique hotel Goldener Engel blends modern comfort with historical charm, offering a truly immersive experience. The friendly staff warmly welcomed me, ensuring a smooth check-in and providing local insights. The spacious, immaculate rooms come equipped with much-needed air conditioning, a rare find that made the stay exceptionally pleasant. The picturesque hotel bar, adorned with ivy-covered walls, transports guests to a bygone era, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. Dining at the attached restaurant was a culinary delight, serving up exquisite dishes that tantalize the taste buds. Set against the backdrop of the cathedral and Rhein, this gem offers a perfect fusion of convenience, luxury, and cultural richness, making it a definite top choice for any discerning traveler.
